List
Update your major
If your intended major has changed since you registered for Orientation, please update your record as soon as possible (and at least five days before your session date). With the proper major on file, we can assign you an advisor who matches your field of study.
Double-check your Orientation date
Do you know when your session is? Watch your inbox for more information as you prep for the big day.
Send KU your transcripts and exam scores
If you haven’t provided KU with your final test scores or transcripts, or if they have improved since you submitted them, please submit or update them as soon as possible and no later than two weeks before your Orientation session. If you have college credit from a university other than KU, please have those institutions send official transcripts directly to KU. Send official Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and/or CLEP scores as soon as they are available.
Submit your immunization records
KU requires all students to submit immunization records prior to the first day of class.
List
Order your KU ID Card
Your KU ID Card is your personal student identification card, and you’ll use it throughout your time on campus. To order your KU ID Card, you’ll need a valid form of identification and photo.
Take a language placement exam
If you’re continuing study of a language, you may take a placement exam to place into a more advanced language course.
Take a math placement exam
Your placement in a math course will be based on multiple measures; the highest placement achieved in the ALEKS exam, your ACT/SAT scores, AP credit, and any other qualifying scores. Take the ALEKS exam if you want to be placed in a higher-level math course than your ACT/SAT scores would place you.
