Start the year — and the festivities

Your official welcome to campus starts as soon as you arrive, with Hawk Week’s first activities.

A 10-day “week” of Rock Chalk spirit

As the kickoff to your KU career, Hawk Week gathers thousands of Jayhawks for several days of live events and student activities. Programming ranges from campuswide to community-specific, with many schools, departments, and student groups hosting individual festivities.

Taking to the Hill

You may have visited campus in the past, but nothing compares to experiencing Mount Oread as a brand new Jayhawk. Hawk Week events occur throughout campus, so you always have a reason to explore a new corner of KU.

Your new cheering section

From day one to Commencement, KU’s campus network of faculty, advisors, and other support services will guide you as a Jayhawk. Meet these folks and learn how you can center your own health and wellness as a student.
