New Student Orientation

Freshman Student Orientation — Spring 2010

NOTE: If you will graduate from high school in December 2009, you are a freshman at KU regardless of the number of college or advanced placement credits you have completed.

New Student Orientation offers a one-day orientation program on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 for new students joining the KU community. The program allows you and your family members or guests to become acquainted with KU. You will have the opportunity to interact with KU faculty and staff, get to know other new students and your Orientation Assistant, familiarize yourself with campus, enroll in your first semester courses, and get answers to your specific questions.

Orientation is important to your success as a KU student, so we expect you to participate in all orientation activities. Orientation sessions build upon each other in order to prepare you for your transition to KU. Furthermore, advising and enrollment is contingent upon attendance at all interest sessions during the program. Students who miss sessions will not be advised or allowed to enroll & may be required to return for open enrollment on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010. Be prepared to stay until 5:00 p.m. on the day of your orientation program.
